We decided this time to go investigate a spa for which had already passed during the visit to Spa Amieira. Which as you can see on the map are very close to each other.

I must say it was a strange visit… For within what was once the hotel the spa can see what appears to be macumbas signal or something! :P But nothing to stop the Hunters of vacant… :)

We managed to get useful information via the website: http://www.aguas.ics.ul.pt/ that says that all information goes back to 2002

Facilities / built heritage and environmental

With 3 Water emergencies, being exploited one. The captagem is done in a well with 2m deep, open limestone, it leaves the distribution conduit for the spa (Directory, 1963).
On the left side of the road a walled property with about ½ hectare. In front of the gate is formed walking mall against the background of the spa building, Construction year 70, having next to a semi covered tank, possible to place the emergency water. The left of the entrance a warehouse followed by a construction type villa emigrant, with cement walls not painted yet. On the right side two large warehouses, the first in a state of ruin, followed by a stream of room rental homes, also in a state of ruin.
On the right side of the road, are several buildings in an advanced state of disrepair, the old hotel 3 story, rental homes, as well as a large warehouse.

Inside the walled part of all buildings in good repair are tightly closed, even well-preserved, however seem unused and only occasionally visited. According to the proprietary information of spa Watermill, all these stores are hardware.

As termas do Bicanho pertençeram à minha família.

A minha avó materna ,minha bisavó e as minhas duas tiasavós foram as últimas a lá viver.

When I visit my land, PEDRÓGÃO weeping, circle in Bicanho area and has even stopped to observe the state of neglect, of a spa, that in the years of the decade of 1950, They were visited by domestic tourists, coming from Minho! The owners were a family with cognomen “the rascões”.I remember perfectly that people. Today there are Dutch do not know what! It is worth, because with new hotel on the outskirts now, if they were active spa, would surely demand, mainly natural Pedrogao Pranto, despite being diverted there 60 years of my nostalgic village.
