“Spa that are centuries old and who had last great international projection! By the year 1900, give or take, the spa had plenty of water, of which came for thermal purposes and even gave to export the rest of the country and even to Africa! These waters were the first in Portugal to be classified as chlorinated and received several awards!

The bath tubs relied on, pools, and the most modern equipment for the height, the complex also had a workshop where we filled the bottles for export, and the spa received over a thousand visitors a year! The complex also had hotel and a chapel…

In 1910 there was a renewed, still getting the most modernized space, however, in 1928 part of a building threatened to collapse and in the years 30 and 40 the hotel complex will stop functioning, and visitors were required to become lodged in Figueira da Foz, but the frequency of the spa came to download from yelling so because the rice fields of the region attract mosquitoes and thus away from the spa goers.

In 1963, the spa no longer had the grandeur of the past and has even walked to the decay, with the chapel and the completely abandoned park, the baths were cataloged “modest rural type”!

In 1994 the space was marked in “Municipal interest”, however, from there until the present day, space is the abandonment, being owned by the Municipality of Soure!”
